Visitor FAQs
What to expect in worship
Parking
We have parking spots designated for visitors as well as handicap parking. You may enter up the steps or the ramp to the foyer that opens into the sanctuary. You may also avoid all steps by entering through the glass door by the Memorial Garden.
Inside
Ushers will greet you and provide a worship bulletin as you enter the church. (Masks are required when Jefferson County is in the RED zone, otherwise, masks are optional for those fully vaccinated. Masks are available if you need one.) The bulletin is like a script for the worship service, so you know what happens and when the congregation has a speaking part. We also have seating for those with mobility issues and strollers.
Music
We welcomed our new Music Director, Judy Warren, on January 29, 2023. We said goodbye the previous Sundays in January to our 4 talented interim guest musicians.
Preaching
Pastor Susan will preach on the scripture read by the liturgist (worship leader). Her sermons are designed to comfort and challenge us.
Communion
We share the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of the month and on Maundy Thursday. We offer gluten free options.
Offering
We pass the offering plates toward the end of the service. Not everyone puts a weekly offering in the plate; some people donate electronically, by mail, monthly, annually, or not at all. We have offering envelopes in the pews for your use.
